SchoolMate.NET Pty Ltd is a joint venture company, bringing together the student information management expertise of MXL Limited, and the curriculum management knowledge of Black Duck Software. SchoolMate.NET Pty Ltd is a 60% owned subsidiary of MXL Limited.

Black Duck Software invested over five years developing the award-winning curriculum management product 'SchoolMate', establishing the company as a market leader in knowledge management software for schools. SchoolMate was one of the first software products to give schools a collaborative framework in which to deliver best-practice learning in line with the latest educational research.

MXL Limited is an Australian public company, and the leading supplier of student information management solutions for the worldwide education sector. Continuing the work of Black Duck Software, SchoolMate.NET Pty Ltd is redeveloping SchoolMate as a web-based .NET solution to give schools a true thin-client, world class enterprise product. This solution will be known as 'SchoolMate.NET' and will let schools access essential learning information anywhere, anytime. SchoolMate.NET will include all current SchoolMate functionality, and will also integrate seamlessly with the eMinerva Schools student information management solution.

SchoolMate.NET is currently working with schools and businesses in Queensland, NSW, SA, WA, Tasmania, Victoria, the ACT and New Zealand.
